当地人彼此称呼自己的湾儿，像是要比着看谁谦虚似的，必得带上一个儿化的尾音，叫得顺嘴儿而低调儿，唇齿间含着一丝儿温馨与甜蜜。张家湾儿、东冷湾儿、胡家老湾儿、费家大湾儿……；当然也有一些不带“湾”字的湾儿，闵家杠儿、银钱窝儿、吕老塘儿、把匠棚儿，等等。如果哪个湾儿被去掉了结尾的儿化音，那就表明很庄重很有分量了。比如：桃花湾。
